Partner

For 75 years, Karl Mertl has been a reliable partner, delivering tubes to thousands of customers. We continuously update our product range and services according to our customers’ various requirements. As we have cooperated with renowned suppliers for many years, we are also in a position to fulfill any particular customer requests. As a family enterprise we pay particular attention to employee satisfaction. We also regard the community that we live in as our partner, and for many years we have been a sponsor of the St. Anna Children’s Cancer Research Institute in Vienna, for example.

Storage facilities

We stock 8,000 tons of tubes and round steels in more than 5,000 dimensions and qualities on 90,000 m², which are available on 30,000 m² of building ground surfaces. Among our range of modern technical equipment are two computer controlled high-bay storage systems in cassette design, numerous automatic sawing machines and a fully automatic packaging line. As a commitment to sustainability we have a photovoltaic system covering a surface of 860 m².

Performance

In all departments a well-established team of experienced and young staff members applies its expertise and commitment to our customer services. This helps us to offer target-oriented information and advice, as well as swift and competent order processing. We cut your tubes to any desired length – including serial or combination cutting. Our website contains detailed information for purchasers and engineers – for example, ordered certificates can be downloaded on request. Of course, we have also obtained certification according to EN ISO 9001 for our quality management system.
